December 1, 2020 is World AIDS Day. The theme for 2020 observance is "Ending the HIV/AIDS Epidemic: Resilience and Impact". World AIDS Day was first observed in 1988. Each year, organizations and individuals across the world bring attention to the HIV epidemic, endeavor to increase HIV awareness and knowledge, speak out against HIV stigma, and call for an increased response to move toward Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America. December 2, 2020 the Alliance will host a Webinar "Caring for those with Memory Difficulties" facilitated by: Dr. Sara Wong, and Dr. Jueta McCutchan Tofaeono. Topic of discussion focuses on aging, trauma and caregiver burnout and impact on memory functioning. Beginning December 24, 2020 to January 4, 2021 the American Samoa Alliance against Domestic & Sexual Violence Office will be closed for the holidays. |
