WHAT IS Sexual Assault?
Sexual Assault is an act in which one intentionally sexually touches another person without that person's consent, or coerces or physically forces a person to engage in a sexual act against their will.

WHAT IS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE?
Domestic violence is a pattern of abusive behavior in any relationship that is used by one partner to gain or maintain power and control over another intimate partner. Domestic violence can be physical, sexual, emotional, economic, psychological, or technological actions or threats of actions or other patterns of coercive behavior that influence another person within an intimate partner relationship. This includes any behaviors that intimidate, manipulate, humiliate, isolate, frighten, terrorize, coerce, threaten, blame, hurt, injure, or wound someone.

Alliance uses community outreach or engagement to connect with members in our community to learn more about domestic violence, dating violence, stalking and sexual assault. A calendar of events are developed to follow social issues that support the work of the Alliance.
Storytelling, or when we "Talanoa" it is an important part of our culture. We dialogue to describe and combine separate experiences into a meaningful whole. "Talanoa" depicts a process of inclusive, authentic and real dialogue. Our Talking Tables provide opportunities for us to "Talanoa",or share stories that can guide decision making for parents, families, and community. We use the process of "Talanoa" to share creative thinking, knowledge and life experiences.
