DO YOU NEED HELP?
OCTOBER IS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH
|
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM). Historically, it began with a "Day of Unity" in 1981. The day connected advocates across the United States and its Territories. These were advocates who worked tirelessly to end violence against women and children. In October of 1987 US Congress passed the Public Law 101-112 to recognize National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
We ask you to partner with us to learn more about Domestic Violence. Help us to eliminate violence in our community. |
